Track & Field to Host LSU Twilight

BATON ROUGE -- The LSU track and field teams will put the finishing touches on their preparation for next week's SEC Indoor Track & Field Championships in Fayetteville, Ark., as they play host to the LSU Twilight Invitational at the Carl Maddox Field House on Friday.

BATON ROUGE - Former LSU star and Olympic silver medalist Richard Thompson made his much anticipated 2010 season debut on Friday night at the LSU Twilight Invitational, and he did not disappoint those in attendance at the Carl Maddox Field House with his record-setting victory in the 60-meter dash.

Mehl Provisionally Qualifies For NCAA Meet At LSU Twilight

The UAB track and field team finished competition at the LSU Twilight meet Friday evening. Junior Nora Mehl leaped to a first-place finish in the high jump and provisionally qualified for the NCAA meet with a jump of 1.81m (5-11.25). Juniors Samantha Hamilton and Timara McMillan both qualified for the 60m hurdle finals with times of 8.77 and 8.85, respectively.
Bilbo, Douglas shine for NSU at LSU Twilight

BATON ROUGE -- Northwestern State newcomers Justin Bilbo and Reginald Douglas posted season-best marks Friday with Bilbo making a huge improvement while punching his ticket for next weekend's Southland Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships with a big shot put throw at the LSU Twilight Invitational.

BATON ROUGE - Junior distance runner Kadi Whisnant clocked in just over two seconds off the school record pace for the indoor mile and sophomore sprinter Samantha Calhoun clocked in under 7.70 in the 60 m dash for the fifth time in five meets this season as the Nicholls State University women's track and field team concluded it's pre-conference indoor slate at the LSU Twilight Meet on Friday.

Baton Rouge, La. – The Loyola University New Orleans track and field team kicked off their season in Baton Rouge on Friday night, running in the LSU Twilight at the Maddox Field House.
