There are two things that Dutchtown's Rachel Fereday has been really good at over the last month. For starters, picking out a prom dress and, secondly, continuing to distance herself from rest of the field in the 800m.
Last week, Fereday ran a season best 2:13.67 at the Pride Roofing Dutchtown Invitational to widen the gap between herself and the rest of the field.
Her time is three seconds faster than the next closest runner--Louise S. McGehee's Kali Magana. While the torch may be passed to Magana after the LHSAA State Outdoor Championships next month, the event still belongs to Fereday for the time being. As we begin to enter the championship season, Fereday looks to add to her collection of three straight 800m titles.
