EYE OF THE TIGER! MILLER MALLEY LOOKS DOWN ON PLANET EARTH BEFORE SOARING OVER 15-6
Here are the finalists for this week's MileSplit LA Boys' Performer Of The Week. Congratulations to all of the athletes who made the made the ballot. The winner will advance to make the final poll of the 2025 outdoor season--MileSplit LA Outdoor Athlete Of The Year in May.
LIONEL PRUDHOMME (Captain Shreve)--The University of Arkansas Football signee had a massive personal record in the discus to open his senior season. Prudhomme's best throw was 173-4. That broke the Yellow Jacket Relays meet record by over 17 feet. It's currently No. 1 in Louisiana and No. 20 in the nation.
MILLER MALLEY (Benton)-- Broke his own school record at Benton's Shamocus Patton Memorial Relays. Malley soared to 15-6.
TAYVEN CARTER (Delhi Charter)-- Won the long jump (21-0) and triple jump (45-3) at the OCS Relays. It's currently the No.1 jump in La. and the No. 8 jump in the nation among sophomores.
GIONNI WILTZ (Slidell)-- Wiltz won the high jump (6-10), long jump (23-0.5), and triple jump (45-0).
TYRIN GARRISON (Glen Oaks)--Won the 1600m and the 3200m at the Brusly Invitational
REED BOUDREAUX (Parkview Baptist)--Won the 400m with a personal record 48.72 at the Griffin Relays
CORTAVEUS DORSEY (Green Oaks)--Won the long jump (21-2) and triple jump (40-6) at the North Webster Invitational.
KEIDRICK BAILEY (Zachary)-- Won the shot put at the Saints Relays with a throw of 53-2. That mark broke the school record.
