POLL: MileSplit LA Girls' Indoor Athlete Of The Year!

EAST ASCENSION'S KIRISTEN MCGIRT IS THE No. 3 RANKED SHOT PUTTER IN THE NATION

Congratulations to all of our finalists for MileSplit LA Girls' Indoor Athlete Of The Year! The poll will close on Saturday, March 8th at 9pm.

ZOEY HODGES (EPISCOPAL)-- Won the LHSAA D2 girls' long jump with a mark of 17-1.50.

ADDILYN DUFRENE (JOHN CURTIS)--Won her second consecutive LHSAA state championship by winning the LHSAA D1 girls' high jump with a clearance of 5-6. Dufrene won three of four competitions during the indoor season. The heptathlete also had personal records in the 60m (8.67), 60m hurdles (10.02), and shot put (28-11.25) during the 2025 indoor season. 

JOLIE JONES (BARBE)--Jones had a personal record throw of 40-1.25 on her last attempt at the LSU Last Chance Qualifier. Unfortunately, she injured her knee on the throw and did not participate in the LHSAA D1 State Indoor Championships. 

CATE WILLIAMSON (UNIVERSITY LAB)-- Williamson finished fifth in the LHSAA D2 girls' 800m with a time of 2:23.72. That was just over her personal record of 2:22.50 from her win at the McNeese Indoor No. 2.

NEVA LAMBERT (EPISCOPAL)--Lambert finished fourth in the LHSAA D2 State Indoor Championships with a time of 5:16.80. In the 3200m, she finished on the podium with a time of 11:33.17. That was good enough for a third-place finish. She ranks No. 5 all-time for freshmen girls in the 1600m and is No. 3 all-time for freshmen in the 3200m. 

SCARLETT PETTICREW (LAFAYETTE)-- Finished second in the LHSAA D1 State Indoor Championships with a personal record jump of 11-5.75. 

KIRISTEN MCGIRT (EAST ASCENSION)--The University of Tennesse signee won her third consecutive LHSAA state championship with a throw of 48-6. It was also a LA indoor championship composite record.
