The 2028 class is already making noise in Louisiana track, and nowhere is that more evident than the short sprints. Salmen's Brandon Harper currently holds the top spot in the 100m with a blazing 11.12, narrowly edging Huntington's Chancey Wilkins (11.13). West Monroe's Noah Wilson, who also ranks No. 1 in the 200m (22.45), sits third in the 100m with an 11.23, showing off his range in multiple events.

Kenner Discovery's Hovan Jasmine continues to be one of the most dynamic freshmen in the state. Not only is he fourth in the 100m (11.27), he's also sitting No. 2 in the 200m at 22.54 and holds a top-three mark in the long jump. Watch for him as a multi-event threat heading into April.

Wossman's Dylan Hall is the only freshman under 50 in the 400m so far this season, clocking a solo 49.96 back on March 8. No one else has broken 52 yet, though Fontainebleau's Judah Benjamin (52.20) and Tioga's Braydon Dominguez (52.34) are knocking on the door.
