The conditions for this week's LHSAA State Cross Country Championships were all-time worst in the most epic muddy course conditions for runners on both days to compete.
On average, boys ran 3 minutes and 2 seconds slower than their season best 3 mile compared to the girls who ran 4 minutes and 6 seconds slower on average.
A few runners even ran over 17 to 18 minutes slower than their season best! Miraculously though a good number of runners managed to run season bests at the state meet as well.
