"Mama, there goes those Cramer girls again."

While Lucy Cramer and Molly Cramer might have been wearing different color singlets in 2024, the results didn't change as they led Parkview Baptist to state championships at both the 2024 LHSAA State Outdoor Meet and the 2024 LHSAA D3 State Cross Country Championships.

When they crossed the line No. 1 and No. 2 last month at the latter of the two championships, it was the second time the sisters accomplished the 1-2 punch to lead their team to the title. Lucy Cramer won with a time of 18:27 while younger sister Molly (18:39) was not far behind.

While the Cramer sisters were in a class all by themselves at  state, it takes more than two runners to win a state meet and first-year head coach Betsy Bernhard had a plethora of talent which included senior Macey Theriot (No. 5; 19:53), Georgia Theriot (No. 6; 19:54),  and freshmen Ansley Bernhard (No. 12; 21:18), and Brynlie Monistere (No. 13; 21:26)

For the Cramers, it was a repeat of 2022 when both finished No. 1 and No. 2 in the same division. At that time, they were competing for Episcopal. That year, the time were a little faster in the cold conditions. And the race was a little tighter between the siblings. Lucy won with a time of 18:17 and Molly was right behind her with a time of 18:27.

As for the state outdoor title in May, it was the school's first since 2001. One of the Eagles on that team helping PBS to win the school's first state championship was Kate Ripple, the mother of Lucy and Molly Cramer.
