As we head into Week No. 3 of the Louisiana high school indoor season, it's time to start taking a look at some of the most improved girls in the 1600m. 
While she is not listed below, Parkview Baptist's Lucy Cramer is Louisiana's fastest miler after her meet record-breaking performance this past weekend at the McNeese Indoor No. 1. Cramer ran a 5:02, which is one second faster than her time in the same event at this time last year. 
During last year's indoor season, Cramer continued to improve and won the LHSAA State Indoor Championship with a time of 5:00. All signs point to her continuing to improve and join an elite group of La. high school girls who have gone sub 5:00.
Before last year, there was only one member of the club--St. Thomas Aquinas' Malia Cali, who sits at the top of the rankings with a 4:57.03.
