Today, our series continues with Day Five of the most watched race videos from the LHSAA State Outdoor Meet. We highlight Class 3A, where they love their mile relay action. If you missed an article in the series, you can catch up with the links at the bottom this article.
CLASS 3A BOYS (4x400m)
The fans of 3A action love their mile relays! It's evident because the event is the most watched video in both divisions of the LHSAA Class 3A State Outdoor Meet. The boys' race was a back-and-forth affair with Lake Charles College Prep winning with a time of 3:20.50.
Joining them on the podium was John F. Kennedy, who finished second with a time of 3:20.81. Finishing third was Glen Oaks with a 3:22.38.
This was the final race of the night, and you can hear Mandi Monistere and Louden Boudreaux talking about public address announcer Mike Boyer's famous "Ils sont parti!" at the beginning of the final race which he calls. The 2024 LHSAA State Outdoor Meet marked the 50th year Boyer, the voice of Louisiana Track & Field, has called the state outdoor meet.
CLASS 3A GIRLS (4X400m)
While St. Louis Catholic did not come away with the team title in Class 3A, they did defend their title in the girls 4x400m. The Crusaders, led by two-time state 400m champion Hannah Boullion, ran a time of 3:55.26.
