BRIANNA NEWTON (PLAIN DEALING)-The defending LHSAA Class 1A state champion in the shot put won her specialty and the discus at the Choudrant Relays on Friday.
EDEN DAWSEY (RUSTON)--Won the LA Mile Festival with a time of 5:08.46. The time ranks No. 6 in Louisiana this year. It's No. 3 for Louisiana sophomore girls. It's No. 12 all-time for Louisiana sophomore girls. It's also in the top five in school history.
DAI'JAH ROBERTSON (WARREN EASTON)-- Extended her win streak to eight with a pair of wins at the LHSCA Meet of Champions. Robertson, a junior, won the 100m (12.32) and 200m (24.77).
MARY CLAIRE LECKERT (LOUISE MCGEHEE)-- Won the Chubby Marks Classic 1600m with a time of 5:13.27. That's an eight-second personal record for the sophomore who edged out Mt. Carmel seniorLucy Quintana (5:14.92) for the win.
