LHSAA State Outdoor Meet: Most Watched Race Videos..Class C!

The race videos from the LHSAA State Outdoor Championships have been on the MileSplit LA website for over a week now. With time for the community to watch--and rewatch, we wanted to take a look at the most popular race videos from each classification. Today, we begin with Class C.

CLASS C BOYS (1600m)

In the most watched race video in the Class C boys 1600m, Simpson's Ean Allain won his third straight 1600m, but Northside Christian's Owen Rue made him earn it. Allain tied a season best with a time of 4:40 while Rue finished with a strong kick and registered a 4:41.

You will hear the commentators talk about Allain amazing quadruple at the 2023 LHSAA State Outdoor Championships where he won the 400m (54.37), 800m (2:06), 1600m (4:54), and 3200m (11:07).

In 2024, Allain, who will soon head to Monroe, LA to continue his career with the ULM Warhawks, dropped the longest and shortest races in that quadruple to only concentrate on the 800m and 1600m during his senior season. He would return later in the meet to win the 800m with a time of 2:10.58.

CLASS C GIRLS (4x100m)

On a wet track, the Simpson girls dominated the 400m relays. The team consisted of Dakota Miller, Mckenzie Grover, Olivia Edwards, and Ashley Miller. The squad ran a 52.66. Starks was a distant second with a time of 54.48. It was efforts like the one in this video which allowed Simpson to claim the LHSAA Class C Girls state championship. The team scored 78 points, 16 more than defending state champion Reeves.
