Two Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns track & field athletes closed out their season on Saturday at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field East Preliminary at the Robert C. Haugh Track & Field Complex in Bloomington, Ind.
Senior Jasmine Anderson ended her impressive career at UL with a run of 13.52 in the women's 100-meter hurdles quarterfinals on Saturday. Anderson missed the qualification standard to make the NCAA Championships next month.
In the discus throw, senior Jacob Domingue made the final 24 in the event, but fell short of the NCAA Championships. The Erath native tossed the discus 170-6 (51.97m) finishing 21st in the competition.
The season continues for sophomore Albert Fournette, who qualified for the NCAA Championships with a school record toss in the shot put of 59-3 ½ (18.07m). Fournette will throw on Friday, June 10 at 5:30 p.m.
