POLL: MileSplit LA Girls' Performer Of The Week!

ST. AMANT'S ELLA WILLOUGHBY COMES THROUGH THE LINE AT THE SJA INVITATIONAL

Here are the finalists for this week's MileSplit LA Girls' Performer Of The Week poll. Congratulations to all of the finalists! The poll will close on Saturday at 9pm. The winner will move on to compete for MileSplit LA Girls' XC Runner Of The Year.

ELLA WILLOUGHBY (ST. AMANT)-  Finished No. 7 at the St. Joseph's Cross Country Invitational. Her time of 18:39 moves her to No. 3, only two seconds behind No. 2 ranked junior--Mt. Carmel's Stella Junius. 

LUCY THOMAS (BATON ROUGE HIGH)-- Opened her season at the St. Joseph's Cross Country Invitational after recovering from a stress reaction in her second metarsal and sitting out for three weeks. Thomas finished No. 4 with a time of 17:39, which puts her at No.1 in the rankings for junior girls.

CATHERINE McElROY (CADDO MAGNET)--The senior finished seventh at C.E.Byrd Fall Invitational with a time of 20:54. Her effort led a Mustang squad which finished second to host C.E. Byrd. 

EMMY BANKER (C.E. BYRD)--The freshman has been a regular in a Lady Jackets team which has won their last two outings (Ruston High Invitational and C.E. Byrd Fall Invitational). Banker's time was 20:41 which was good enough for sixth place. It also ranks Banker at No. 13 on the Louisiana list for freshmen girls. 

TIANA KHURI (ST. JOSEPH'S BATON ROUGE)--The junior won the junior varsity of the St. Joseph's Cross Country Invitational. Khuri's time was 19:23. She led an SJA Sticker team which placed seven runners in the top ten.
