Abigail Leger is the most improved runner over three miles during the first three weeks of the season. Leger ran a time of 24:28 during the first three weeks of the 2023 season. This year, Leger has improved over four minutes, running a time of 20:13 at the LCA Knights Invitational last Saturday.
"Abigail was ineligible to compete in varsity during her freshman year due to last year's LHSAA feeder school ruling," Teurlings Catholic's head coach Kelly LaMaison said. "She is finally able to take her blinders off and see endless possibilities within cross country and track and field. Each week, she gains a little more confidence as she she shakes off more and more time from her personal best.
