The Louisiana high school season is over, and now we turn our attention to the post season. This weekend, all eyes are on Huntsville, Alabama where many of Louisiana's best distance runners will square off against some of the best in the nation.
Many times, these runners find themselves all alone during races in Louisiana. That will not be the case at RunningLane.
The highlight of night No. 1 will be Parkway's Brennan Robin and Parkview Baptist's Lucy Cramer .They will be competing in the championship races in the 3200m late tonight under the lights at Milton Frank Stadium. Cramer, who is the No. 24 seed, is scheduled to race at 9:50pm. Robin is the No. 11 seed and his race is scheduled for 10:15pm.
Other runners to watch in the 3200 meters are Jesuit's David Quintana and Patrick Smith, Highland Baptist's Tyler Blissett and Catholic's Augustin Juneau in the boys race.
In the girls' 3200 meters, keep an eye on Lucy's younger sister, Molly Cramer, Lucy Quintana, and The Willow School eighth grader Emma Aldana-Huelga
Airline's Jayden Williams will be Louisiana's lone representative in the championship race of the 800 meters. However, don't forget about Mandeville's Brayden Berglund and Max Tsolakis, who will be running this afternoon in the 800 meters.
Louisiana girls to watch in the 800 meters include Mary Quintana, Kaitlyn Sawyer, and Baylee Bryant
