LIVE RESULTS FROM THE 2026 RUNNINGLANE TRACK CHAMPIONSHIPS
It's Day No. 2 in Huntsville, Alabama and we have the heat sheets for Day No. 2. Fans of high school running will have their eyes on the final event of the night--the championship race in the boys' 1600 meters which will feature two of the best milers in Louisiana history--Jesuit's Connor Fanberg and Parkway's Brennan Robin.
The race will serve as a rematch for Fanberg and Robin, who both smashed Louisiana's composite record in the 1600 meters at the LHSAA State Outdoor Championships earlier this month. Fanberg, who is the No.10 seed in tonight's race, won the race with a 4:04. Robin was on his heels with a 4:05.
Robin is seeded No. 15 in the 20-runner field. The boys' championship mile race is scheduled for a 9:50 p.m. start time.
There is no Louisiana girl in the championship race of the girls' 1600 meters. Parkview's Lucy Cramer is the highest seed. The will be competing in the second heat of the evening which is scheduled to begin at 9:03 pm.
Other girls to watch include sophomores Molly Cramer, from Parkview Baptist, and Ruston's Eden Dawsey.
On the boys' side, keep an eye on seniors Rowan Silk (4:17) and Brayden Berglund (4:18).
