ATHLETES COMPETE IN THE 800m AT THE 2023 GOVERNOR'S GAMES

Here are the finalists for MileSplit LA 14U Performer Of The Week! Congratulations to all of the finalists the poll will close on Sunday at 9pm. The winner will move on to compete for MileSplit LA 14U Athlete Of The Year at the end of the summer.

JESSIE PITTS (TROJAN ELITE)- Won the 12-year old high jump at the AAU Region 11 Qualifier with a meet record of 5-2. The old record of 4-8 belonged to Hovan Jasmine (2022)

TUCKER ABSHIRE (TRACK SENERGY)- Won the 14-year old 1500m at the AAU Region 11 Qualifier with a time of 5:06.16. He also finished second in the 3000m with a time of 11:07.04.

ZOE RODRIGUE (FUTURE TRACK CLUB)- Won the 100m (14.06) and 200m (30.13) in the 9-10 girls' division at the USATF Southern Association Junior Olympics 

HAYLA DEMERY (RIVER CITIES TRACK CLUB)- Won the 200m (25.65) and the 400m (59.53) in the 13-14 girls division at the USATF Southern Association Junior Olympics.

TYSON FRANKLIN (ZACHARY STRIDERS)- Won the 13-14 boys 3000m at the USATF Southern Association Junior Olympics with a time of 11:12.74. 

MARY EMERY VALLUZO (U.S. EXPRESS TRACK CLUB)- She was second in the 11-12 girls' division of the 1500m at the USATF Southern Association Junior Olympics

RACHEL HILL (ULTIMATE PERFORMANCE)- She was second in the 11-12 girls' 3000m with a time of 11:53.31

CAMPBELL WOODARD (UNATTACHED)- Finished first in the 13-14 boys' javelin with a throw of 133-9. He finished second to RCTC's Jayden Green by seven inches.
