JOHN CURTIS' KING TAYLOR (10) IS THE NO.5 400m RUNNER IN THE NATION!
We are heading into week No. 3 of the La. HS indoor season and things are beginning to heat up. Just look at what happened last Saturday at the Carl Lewis Invitational in Houston. Warren Easton's Germain Smith-Mata ran a 6.73 in the 60m. It's the nation's No. 1 time.
Another La. athlete who is among the nation's best early in the season is Scotlandville's Broderick Davis. Davis has a best of 7.75 in the 60m hurdles from the FasTrack Athletix Indoor Challenge in December. The time has Davis ranked No. 3 in the nation.
Davis also owns the No. 2 mark in the nation in the long jump with a season best of 24-0 from the same meet.
The only other athlete to have a mark which ranks in the top 10 nationally is John Curtis' LA King Taylor. His 48.23 from Saturday's Carl Lewis Invitational is the fifth fastest time in the nation.
