The Brother Martin Crusaders have four of the top ten returning seniors heading into the 2023 Louisiana cross country season. Coach Drew Harro's team will begin their season on Saturday at the Mobile Challenge of Champions.
Leading the Crusaders will be Gabriel Metoyer, who had a best time last year of 15:04 at the Randy Zell Cross Country Classic. Other Brother Martin harriers in the top ten include Daniel Falk (No. 4; 15:16), Eyan Calico (No. 5; 15:18), and Luke Regan (No. 8; 15:25)
The Crusaders are set to open their season tomorrow at the Mobile Cross Country Challenge of Champions, where Metoyer, Falk and Regan are seeded among the meet's top seven entries.
Brother Martin is not the only team to have multiple runners in the Top Ten. Jesuit and Catholic both have two runners in the Top 10. Jesuit has the No. 2 runner in the Class of 2024--Michael Vocke (15:11) as well as Lucas Sampedro, who is ranked No. 7 with a time of 15:24.
