LUCY CRAMER (Parkview Baptist)-- With Northshore's Grace Keene off to Oregon, Molly Cramer is the top returning runner in Louisiana. Her season best of 17:27 came at the St. Joseph's Invitational.
VARENKA ZHUK (Metairie Park Country Day)--Zhuk's season best of 17:42 came at the LCA Knights Invitational. It ranked No. 6 overall in Louisiana, and ranked No. 2 all-time among freshmen girls in Louisiana history. Only Molly Cramer (17:06) has run faster. Zhuk ranks No. 2 among Louisiana returners.
CELIA ADAMS(St. Thomas Aquinas)-- Ran a 17:53 in a runner-up effort at the LCA Knights Invitational. It was her only time under 18:00, but it was no fluke. Adams finished fourth at the LHSAA State XC championships with an impressive time of 18:46.90. This came after winning the District 9-2A with a time of 18:01.
HANNAH SCHNEIDER (St. Joseph's)-- Even though Schneider was a freshmen in 2025, she led the St. Joseph's Stickers. Zhuk was the only freshman to run faster at the 2025 LHSAA State Cross Country Championships.
NEVA LAMBERT (Episcopal)--Had a season best of 17:56 at the LHSAA D3 Region 2 in a fourth place finish. At the LHSAA State Cross Country Championships, she finished second with a time of 18:33.
EMMA ALDANA HUELGA (The Willow School)--Just an eighth grader in 2025, Huelga won the D2 LHSAA State Cross Country Championships. It was one of five victories in 2025. By the time 2026 is over, Huelga could own the fastest time ever run by a freshmen in Louisiana.
EDEN DAWSEY (RUSTON)--Dawsey is the standard for high school distance running in North Louisiana. She has graduated from an athlete in Dustin Cochran's program who participated in cross country as something to do before basketball, to a serious runner who is chasing big goals at the state level during this--her junior year.
