HOUMA CHRISTIAN'S EMMA BOURG COMPETES IN THE LSU LAST CHANCE QUALIFIER
The Louisiana Track and Field Coaches Association have released their 2023 Indoor All-State team. Scotlandville's Makeriah Harris and Houma Christian's Emma Bourg are at the top of list in two individual events.
Harris was selected to the All-State team in both the 400m (56.31) and the 60m (8.37). Bourg, continueing the momentum from a cross country season which saw her win the 2022 Gatorade Girls Cross County Player of the Year award, was selected to the All-State team in both the 1600m (5:06.55) and the 3200m (11.11.82).
The Scotlandville led all programs in the relay catagory. The Lady Hornets made All-State in both the 4x200m (1:40.51) and the 4x400m (3:55.74).
Zachary, under the direction of MileSplit LA's Assistant Coach of the Year--Amanda Woosley, dominated the throws as seniors Jaydan Jackson (43-2)and Ambria Langley (42-10.5)took both spots in the shot put.
