Who will turn in the most impressive performance at the LSU Indoor Classic?

Which of the athletes above do you think will turn in the best performance at this Saturday's LSU Indoor Classic? John Curtis is loaded with talent this season and that is why you find two Patriots on this poll.

The Classic will not be the first meet for King Taylor. He opened at The Gallaria Games in Birmingham, AL last month. It was an impressive opener to the say the least as Taylor ran a 49.1.

Like she did a year agao, Aaliyah Lane opened up her season at the Galleria Games as well. The difference for the seventh grader this year is that she will compete in high school meets. Her first high school meet will be Satuarday at the Classic.

Lane broke her own meet record in the 11-12 girls' 800m. Her time was 2:22.15. She also finished third in the 400m with a 59.62.

While Taylor and Lane went to Alabama to open their season, Denham Springs' Jordyn Taylor went to Texas last month where she opened up with a personal record 18-7.75 and a fifth place finish at the North Texas Showcase.

To put Taylor's jump in perspective, there were only four girls in Louisiana to break 18' feet in the long jump in 2022. Taylor was in that number. The longest jump during the 2022 season was 18-5.25 by Ruston's Bryanna Craig.

Scotlandville's Makeriah Harris had a record-breaking, memory-making sophomore campagin, but the junior is ready to make this season--which begins Saturday--better than the last. Harris plans to run in the 60m hurdles were she is the US No. 9 returner in the event and the 400m, where she feels like she will see faster times during the indoor season.

Like Taylor and Lane, Holy Cross' Krosse Johnson, St. Louis' Kenzie Touchet, and Warren Easton's Germain Smith-Mata.

Johnson and Smith-Mata are expected to go head-to-head in the 60m. Johnson ran a 6.97 in the prelims at The Gallaria Games, but only managed a 7.01 in the finals, finishing 7th. Johnson also had a third place finish in the 200m, where he ran a 22.33.

Smith-Mata ran a 6.85 in the 60m to win the 15-16 boys' division and set a new meet record. He also fiinished second in the 200m with a 22.21.

Touchet ran a 58.40 to finish fifth in the 17-18 girls 400m. Louise McGehee's Kali Magana won with a 56. 69, and Northside's Quincy Simon ran a 59.75 for 11th place finish.
