PARKWAY'S BRENNAN ROBIN IS LA'S TOP RETURNER IN THE 1600m HEADING INTO 2025
Things went as well for Parkview Baptist's Aiden Monistere during the cross-country season as they possibly could. The magical, record-breaking senior season came to an end Saturday in Eugene, Oregon where Monistere finished No. 25 at the Nike Cross Nationals.
Last indoor season, Monistere won the LHSAA D2 Boys' 1600m with a time of 4:23.84. That time ranks No. 2 for returners heading into the 2025 Louisiana high school indoor season.
Sitting at No. 1 in the ranking is Parkway's Brennan Robin, who knows a thing or two about magical seasons coming off one of the best seasons a La. high school freshman has ever had. Like Monistere, Robin's season best also came at the LHSAA State Indoor Meet.
Coming in at No. 3 on our top returners in the 1600m is Highland Baptist's Tyler Blissett, who finished second to Monistere last February at the LHSAA State Indoor Meet with a time of 4:26.
