St. Joseph's Academy

The Southern Showcase2St. Jo's took on an elite field in Huntsville, Alabama, and took a respectable 9th-place finish. The squad of girls boasted a slew of sub-19 3-mile times after conversions and look to be a slightly more competitive team than Ruston at this moment.

E.D. White

Nicholls Invitational

4E.D. White let loose the JV squad and took 3rd place.
5

Mt. Carmel

Dominican/Holy Cross Invitational

5Mt. Carmel won over Dominican, taking the team title. This was possible, despite the team not having its top runner. The team gave Stella Junius a rest this weekend, all while securing more and more season bests. The pack running efforts made by this team, on top of having low sticks, proves that Mt. Carmel is deserving of this competitive ranking.
6

Dominican

Dominican/Holy Cross Invitational

6Dominican had its season opener and narrowly took 2nd to Mt. Carmel at their home meet. Morgan Trauth returns as the team's top runner and other members on this team seem to know how to run together.
7

St. Thomas Aquinas

LCA Knights Invitational8STA takes home the gold, well ahead of all other teams in attendance. The team was led once again by the Mistretta twins. These two girls have breathed life into this team, giving the program a chance to recover after losing strong seniors last year. The team in general is still incredibly young and they are all still putting up very competitive times for their age. STA is full of potential this season.
8

Vandebilt Catholic

Nicholls Invitational7Vandebilt almost had a perfect score this weekend, as they dominated this 5k. There was not much to challenge this team this weekend and it proved to be like a time trial for individual athletes.
9

ARCA

LCA Knights Invitational

11ARCA took 3rd behind a powerful STA and barely lost to Lafayette High. These girls are continuing to improve from meet to meet and have not shown signs of letting up just yet. The team was more drawn out this week and if there were more cohesion between its runners as we have seen previously, it most likely would not have lost to Lafayette.

Lafayette High

LCA Knights Invitational

NRLafayette High showed off in its hometown by nailing a 1-5 split of just over a minute. This was a great first showing for 3-miles for this team and has surely earned them a spot on this ranking. There is just a slight gap between its top three runners. If there were to be a way to close that gap and have those girls to run together instead of alone, then that will surely open up more doors for this program.
13

St. Thomas More

LCA Knights Invitational

17St. Thomas More shows promise with the showing of Ellie Bond as their low-stick and a following of three runners that are in close proximity to each other. However, this team does not seem to have much depth, as they only ran five runners. This makes it difficult to have security for this program, but maybe they will acquire someone by later in the season.
14

Dutchtown

DHS Yellow Jacket Dash

15Dutchtown took the win with the help of Isabella LeGarth snagging the individual title, as well as Rachel Fereday and Isabella Latkovitch scoring top ten finishes.

Academy of Sacred Heart NO

2022 BSN Sports Invitational

NRLeah Varisco aided Sacred Heart in scoring the team title, in addition to the latter half of her team running closely together to minimize point gain. It's very impressive to see a young team like this perform this well together, especially with the likes of Leah Varisco.
19

Parkview Baptist

2022 BSN Sports Invitational

18Parkview Baptist only ran three athletes consisting of Brynlie Monistere, Caroline McCulloch, and Grace Davis. Not much to be known to why the team took this approach.
20

Parkway High School

The Border Dash

21

St. Scholastica

2022 BSN Sports Invitational

16St. Scholastica earned 3rd, led by a duo of Maggie Oggs and Renee Klein. This team seems to operate in packs of two, as there were two more groups of runners that crossed the finish in their own time.

Teurlings Catholic

LCA Knights Invitational

21Angelle Dupuis led the way with her impressive top ten finish, but the rest of her team was distant. The gap between each additional runner creates more difficulty for this team to move up in the rankings. Overall, Teurlings took 7th.
25

St. Fredrick

2022 Warhawk Invitational23Though St. Fredrick took 2nd at this meet, on the scale of the entire state, they score better as a team rather than West Monroe. Bradie Eppinette took yet another win and was followed in suit by her teammates. The biggest weakness in this team still lies in the dramatic drop-off between its fourth and fifth runner.
26

St. Michael

DHS Yellow Jacket Dash

25St. Michael took 2nd to Dutchtown. The team had a solid front three followed by a two-minute gap between them and their other two runners to round out the top five. In comparison to their other performances, this can be seen as weaker from what we have seen before from this team.
27

Belle Chasse

Dominican/Holy Cross Invitational

26Belle Chasse narrowly lost to Archbishop Hannan this past weekend and took 5th. Kataeleigh Sauer led the way with a systematic gap between each of her other teammates.
28

Erath

LCA Knights Invitational

28Erath scored 10th this past weekend thanks to Alexa Tarin-Carlon and Isabelle Hardin taking charge. This is a general improvement for the team and a great race for these girls.
29

Ponchatoula

2022 BSN Sports Invitational

27Ponchatoula took home 4th place after an off performance. The team did not perform up to what we saw previously.
30

Episcopal of Acadiana

LCA Knights Invitational

29Acadiana took 9th once the team's top runners scored some new season bests. All runners performed well this weekend, but the team felt the absence of its routine fifth runner of Ellianna Desormeaux.

Just missed: Hathaway, Denham Springs, Ascension Episcopal
