GIRLS' WEEKLY RANKINGS: 9/6:
Rank | Team | Last Meet | Previous Ranking | Details |
| 2 | Ruston took home a clear and decisive victory in Mississippi, placing four within the top ten. The Bearcats added two new freshmen to the mix and they have already been making an impact. Based on how they ran as a team this past weekend. They are truly deserving of the number one position.
| 1 | St. Joseph's won the invitational division of the Mobile Meet of Champions, with three runners within the top ten. The program dominated when it came to the team scores, however, this was not the St. Jo's that we are accustomed to seeing. The team appeared to be strung out once past its third runner. However, this program has been known to not put all of its eggs in one basket, so this may be a more tactical approach to the beginning of the season. (St. Jo's also split its team between two meets)

| 5 | Mt. Carmel took 5th at the Mobile Meet of Champions invitational division and did quite well considering the youth of their team. They had three freshmen enter the mix, one of which being Stella Junius who was runner-up at the meet. A point of concern would be the lack of depth that was shown at this meet. The team surely has strong runners, but the drop-off between them is a considerable threat.
| 6 | Vandebilt Catholic took home the victor's trophy at the St. Michael Bayou Boogie, edging out the split effort by St. Joseph's Academy. The team had three of its runners represented in the top ten, including a dominant win by Brynn Kelso, despite poor conditions. Considering this, I believe the team has more to offer.
| N/A | 7 | Did not run. Will open at The Border Dash.
| Choudrant Aggie Invitational | 9 | Cedar Creek took the win over St. Fredrick in Choudrant this past weekend. Results have yet to be posted, so details on performance are hazy.
| N/A | 10 | ||
| NR | St. Thomas Aquinas impressed at Mobile with their 3rd-place performance in the invitational division. The team is exceptionally young with its top three runners being freshmen and the remainder being more veteran runners. This was an unexpected debut from this team and it must be rewarded.
| 11 | University Lab took 19th in Memphis against a loaded field. The team demonstrated its ability to run together despite being in a crowded field with a 1-5 split of less than a minute! With this in mind, it would not be out of the question to see how much this team can improve when presented with the opportunity to move around more freely.
| N/A | 12 | ||
| 15 | Parkway took the title for the 4k race in Mississippi with a 1-2 finished from Cheyenne Olson and Ember Pierce. This race effort can be difficult to extrapolate to the 3-mile or 5k distance so it is hard to say just how they size up against everyone else.
| Choudrant Aggie Invitational | 13 | Finished as a close runner up to Cedar Creek at the Choudrant Aggie Invitational. The Lady Warriors were led by Bradie Eppinette, who won the individual title for the second year in a row with a 20:07. Eppinette earned a spot as a finalist for MileSplit LA's Girls Performer of Week.

| NR | Parkview Baptist held a definitive 3rd place team finish and had their top runner, Gracie Pepitone, sneak into the top ten. Not only that, but they had a strong addition of middle-schooler Brynlie Monistere. The consistency between these runners are not amazing, but they are enough to score potential for the season.
| 30 | Mandeville moves up the ranks after claiming 4th at the St. Michael Bayou Boogie. The team boasts a young front-runner with Olivia Hayes, but the gap between her and her teammates was significant. However, the team was held together by the remaining three of the top five.
| NR | ARCA took the team title in Lafayette, toppling St. Martin's Episcopal. Kalynn Beacom proved to be the team's low stick and finished as the runner-up. The team's runners were spread out amongst each other, but their performance is still something to keep note of.
| 8 | This was more of a shocking performance to witness. St. Martin's program was one that should have easily won this meet, but instead, it came second. There were some strong performances from its top runners, but nothing that would solidify them at the ranking that they were at before.
| 18 | St. Michael took 5th at their home meet despite poor conditions. The team had standout performances from its top two runners, but the drop-off from that point was significant. Of course, this could be attributed to a muddy and uncut course, so there is still something left to be seen from this team.
| N/A | 19 | ||
| 20 | ESA rounds out 6th place right behind St. Michael. This program is similar to St. Michael in which there is a considerable drop-off between their runners. As said previously, it could be up to poor weather, so eyes will be watching for their next performance.
