BOYS' WEEKLY RANKINGS 9/6:
Rank | Team | Last Meet | Previous Ranking | Details |
| N/A | 1 | Did not run. Will open on 9/17/22 at Southern Showcase in Huntsville, AL
| Mobile Meet of Champions | 3 | Brother Martin moves up after winning the Invitational division of the Mobile MoC XC meet. They placed all five runners within the top ten and were all within 45 seconds of each other. Brother Martin was led by Gabriel Metoyer, who is a finalist for MileSplit LA's Performer of the Week.
| The Opener | 2 | Ruston took home the victory at the Mississippi College Opener. Their performance was incredibly close to that of Brother Martin, but it came down to accounts of other sources and course difficulty that has Ruston down one position this week. Despite this, the team also placed five within the top ten and had a 1-5 gap looming around 45 seconds as well. They performed exceptionally well in high temperatures and a competitive Mississippi field. The Bearcats were led by junior Thomas Rogers, who finished second at The Opener and is a finalist for MileSplit LA's Boys Performer of the Week.
| St. Michael Bayou Boogie | 5 | Catholic High always finds a way to replace departing runners and had a strong showing for the beginning of the season with the placement of six runners within the top ten and all below 17-minutes as well. They easily took home the team title. The BEars were led by Matthew Maynard, who won the Bayou Boogie Classic with a time of 16:00.71 earning a spot as a finalist for MileSplit LA's Boy Performer of the Week.
| 7 | Parkway took 3rd at The Opener with a strong showing from their entire team early on the season. The team ran well for 5k and would have been one of the more dominant teams back on home soil. The entire team performed about an entire minute better than they had last year and had a standout freshman with Charles Ernest. Parkway was led Gabriel Falting, who ran a personal record 5K of 16:14 earning him a spot on MileSplit LA's Boys Performer of the Week.
| 10 | St. Michael took home 2nd at their home meet, facing off against several formidable teams. They had some strong singular performances, two of which dipped under 17-minutes for three miles.
| 11 | Parkview Baptist took 3rd at the St. Michael Bayou Boogie. They barely fended off Episcopal of Acadiana and came close to challenging St. Michael in terms of team scores. The team was held together by two strong front runners that dipped below 17-minutes.
| 6 | Teurlings took home a 4th place finish at the Mobile Meet of Champions in the invitational division. The team was considerably separated when it came to its top two and their remaining three, but both groups showed a strong team effort in pack running together.
| N/A | 8 | ||
| N/A | 9 | ||
| 13 | Acadiana took home 4th at The St. Michael Bayou Boogie, edged out slightly by Parkview Baptist. The team's top five landed themselves, mostly, in the range of 17-minutes with one just outside of it. A very strong performance for the small school program.

| NR | David Thibodaux STEM had a HUGE day at the St. Michael Bayou Boogie. They benefited from a youthful team and a dramatic performance from Atticus Solis. His standout race made it possible for the team to snag 5th place and for them to be represented on this list. If this team continues with this trend, expect more in the years to come.
| City Auto MEMPHIS TWILIGHT | NR | University Lab competed in Memphis and had strong season debuts from John Hall Hays and Blayton Bernard. Though the team landed themselves in 15th, the field was loaded. The main concern for this team is the gap that is present between its runners. Nonetheless, their performance was worthy of ranking.
| 23 | Finished No.6 at the Bayou Boogie Classic. 14+23+27+54+61
| 4 | Mandeville faced a rough day at St. Michael Bayou when compared to what was expected initially. The loss of Kayden Hedrick of course hurts the team and the disappearance of Ben Domangue did not help either. It is clear that the team is working on recovering from the loss of graduating seniors and departing runners.
| LCA Knights Cross Country | 21 | St. Martin's took home the win in Lafayette and line up around what is expected of them.
| N/A | 24 | Did not run. Will open at The Border Dash.
| N/A | 27 | ||
| N/A | 25 | ||
| NR | Hahnville surprised with an 8th place performance, right behind Mandeville. The team benefitted from an abbreviated 1-5 split and was able to score a spot on this list.
| NR | Shaw managed to make an appearance on this list after their two front runners made it possible for their team to secure 10th at St. Michael Bayou Boogie. Though they had two runners near the front of the race, the distance between them and the remaining three is great.
| 26 | John Curtis came short on some expectations based on their performance from last year. Though it is the beginning of the season and there is still room to grow. This was an off-performance for the team.
| 22 | Live Oak, like John Curtis, also took a hit on these rankings. Their runners just were not where they needed to be at this race, but that does not mean that they will not improve throughout this season. |
Just missed: Archbishop Rummel, St. Amant, and Central - Baton Rouge
