
RUSTON'S BRANDON GREEN JUMPS HIS WAY TO A LJ STATE CHAMPIONSHIP & A NO. 1 RANKING!
Ruston's Brandon Green saved his best for last, jumping a season best 24-2.25 to win the LHSAA Class 5A state outdoor long jump title. His mark bettered the 24-2 from Jerome Robinson, who had his best jump of the season at the Dutchtown Invitational in late March.
Other seniors in the Top 10 include H.L. Bourgeois' Falon Short (23-10) and Jordan Adams (23-9), Ouachita's Jaylen Kincaid (23-2). Short and Adams both had their best jump of the season at the Thibodaux Tiger Relays.
For Adams, it was over a foot better than any other mark he posted. Short did reach 23' in one other meet. He won the Region 3-5A Meet with a best mark of 23-2.5.
Underclassmen in the Top 10 include; Crowley junior Nate Harmon (23-8.5), Catholic sophomore Bradley Wright (23-8.25), Dutchtown junior Montrell Morris (23-7), and Westlake junior Tristan Goodly (23-2.75)
