The battle for the 4A boys' title looks to be a tight race between either St. Michael and Teurlings Catholic. The title is hard to call between these two, but one thing that can be counted on is that it will be a competitive race.
Cameron Kelly of Teurlings Catholic stands out as the fastest performer in this class on top of being the highest-ranked returning performer from 2020. Surely everyone knows Kelly's name by now, he has been a prominent figure in 4A since his freshman year and he is sure to finally pick up a cross country individual title this year.

Following up on Kelly is his teammate, Jude Guidry. He is going to be in a tight race for a podium position against other St. Michael runners. His last two races reflect that he's ready to take on the state meet, so it is only a matter of time to see if he can take on these St. Michael runners. It should be noted also that Guidry went toe-to-toe with some of those runners and emerged on top.
Noah Bernard rounds out the front pack of Teurlings runners and could prove to be another top ten finisher for his team. However, the team truly relies on its fourth and fifth runners, Archie James and Jude Greenman, to cover some of Belle Chasse and Teurlings' runners.
St. Michael is looking to claim the team title after finishing second to Belle Chasse last year and it looks like it has the team to do it. The team had an outstanding partnered-running performance at the St. Michael Warrior Run with Dawson Latona and William Nizzo and Cooper Bankston and Zachary Edwards running very close to each other. Anthony Latonna, Dawson Latona, and Nizzo all have the opportunity to claim a podium position and disrupt Teurling's chances.
Some individuals to watch are Jace Luckoski of Belle Chasse and Bryce Cambell of Carencro. These two have both shown to run consistently under 17-minutes and could very well make appearances within the top ten.
