Tulane's Ruzevic Turns in NCAA Qualifying Mark in Final Day of Florida Relays

GAINESVILLE, Fla. - Freshman Ana Ruzevic set a new personal best to finish second in the javelin with a regional qualifying mark of 45.00 as the Tulane track & field team wrapped up comeptition at the Florida Relays Friday at Percy Beard Track in James G. Pressly Stadium.

Ruzevic's new career long throw of the javelin gave her an NCAA regional qualifying mark for the third time this season.

Redshirt freshman Julia Whitrock placed fourth in the 5000-meter run, turning in a time of 17:47, while seniorKeriann Langley finished 18th in 18:50.

Senior Katarina Busljeta, who finished fourth in the hammer throw Friday, came in 12th in the discus with a toss of 42.20 meters.

Junior Olivia Kizzee was 14th in the 200-meter dash, posting a time of 24.22. Tulane's 4x100 relay team finished 10th among collegiate teams. Freshman Raquelle Collins, Kizzee, senior Shaina Pelham and freshmanKasey Rodgers teammed for a time of 46.21, good for 14th overall.

The Green Wave are back in action next Saturday at the Ole Miss Invitational in Oxford, Miss.
