Trey Hadnot Paces @LATechTandF at Tyson Invitational

 

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - Louisiana Tech senior Trey Hadnot ran a pair of top-10 times in the school’s record books, highlighting LA Tech’s performance at the prestigious Tyson Invitational at the Randall Tyson Track Center in Fayetteville Saturday.

Hadnot finished second in the 200m with a time of 20.97, ranking fifth in school history. He followed that performance later as he ran the anchor leg of the 4x400m relay that placed 13th overall with a time of 3:15.22, only three-tenths (0.3) of a second behind Texas. Jaquvis HartDarius Statham and Yusuf Muhammad ran the first three legs of the relay.

A native of Ruston, La., Hadnot now ranks 15th in the nation in the 200m as Louisiana Tech completed its final regular season meet of the indoor season. Hadnot and the rest of the LA Tech program will next hit the track on Feb. 28 at the Conference USA Indoor Championships in Birmingham, Ala.

He was not the only Tech athlete to change the record books as Pamela Lee jumped 5-7.75 (1.72m) in the high jump, a mark that ranks fifth in school history. Lee tied Arkansas’ Kirsten Hesseltine and Kansas’ Colleen O’Brien for fifth place in the event.

Devin Henderson excelled in the jumps on the men’s side with a sixth-place finish in the triple jump. He recorded a personal best mark of 48-9.5 (14.87m), topping his previous best mark by over two feet. Adairius Barnes finished 19th in the triple jump with a mark of 44-10.5 (13.67m).

The women’s 4x400m relay finished 19th overall as the quartet of Aldresha BaileyCharla CraddockTaneka Henderson and Mia Adams ran 3:43.15. Craddock (24.45) also finished 31st in the 200m while Adams (24.79) finished 46th.

 

Anthony Plourde finished 11th in the 3,000m run with a time fo 8:42.53 while Taylor Ashton ran 8:57.38 to place 20th.
