LAKE CHARLES – Former McNeese standout runner Jarret LeBlanc set the pace at Saturday's McNeese Cowboy Club ASICS Cowboy Stampede with a first place finish mark of 19:08.30 in the four-mile race, leading the way for his fellow Cowboy runners to take the team title in the men's division. It's the second consecutive win for the Cowboys on the season. McNeese took the team title at the Rice Invitational two weeks ago.
Lake Charles, La - Facing off against some tough competition, the Loyola University New Orleans men’s and women’s cross country teams ran hard and performed well at the McNeese Cowboy Stampede Invitational Saturday morning. The men’s team ran a four mile race and finished 7th overall while the women’s team raced to an 8th overall finish in their 5k race. Both the men’s and women’s teams were first among non-NCAA Division I teams.
LAKE CHARLES, La. - Much like the first two meets of the season, Tulane cross country's youth shined in competition on Saturday at the McNeese Cowboy Stampede at the Enos Darbonne Sports Complex in Lake Charles, Louisiana, as rookie Moses Aloiloi finished first amongst all collegiate runners in the men's 4-mile while freshmen Emma Newton and Lauren Bartels posted top-10 finishes in the women's 5K.
LAKE CHARLES – Freshmen Josh Wilkins and Erin Wrozek were Northwestern State's top runners Saturday at the ASICS-McNeese State Stampede cross country races. For the third straight meet, Wilkins was NSU's highest finisher, taking 10th in a field of 74 by running 19:56 over four miles at Enos Derbonne Park.
