Southeastern Competes In Deep Field At Texas Relays

HAMMOND – For the second day a row Friday, Southeastern Louisiana's best performance at the Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays was in the pole vault.

Brittany Pfantz placed sixth in the finals of the women's pole vault (13 feet, 1 ½ inches) at the Austin, Texas, meet.

The Lady Lions also got strong performances out of Michelle Ogashi, who finished eighth in the finals of the triple jump (42-4 ¾), and Nia Stewart, who ran a time of 12.23 seconds in the preliminaries of the 100-meter dash (68th).

For the men, the best performance of the day was in the 4x400-meter relay. Shaq WindleyAbram TaylorBrendon Mitchell and T.J. Herbert placed 20th in the preliminaries with a time of 3:17.80.

The 4x100-meter relay team of Brandon DanielsT.J. HerbertTavarus Arbuthnot and Abram Taylor placed 24th (41.90 sec.) in the preliminaries.

In the preliminaries of individual events, Abram Taylor (14.80 sec.) placed 29th in the men's 110-meter hurdles and Tarvoris Mack (15.18 sec.) placed 38th. T.J. Herbertfinished 35th in the 100-meter dash (10.77 sec.).
