TREVIN LEBOUEF WORKS HIS WAY THROUGH THE RUNNERS IN THE BOYS 800m AT THE LSU HS CLASSIC

Below, you will find a handful of athletes who had impressive performances at Saturday's LSU HS Classic. Vote on the athlete you feel should be the MileSplit LA Boys' Performer Of The Week. The winner will move on to compete for MileSplit LA Boys' Indoor Athlete Of The Year. The poll will close on Saturday at 9pm.

GIONNI WILTZ (SLIDELL)-- Wiltz was on fire Saturday at the LSU HS Classic. He won the long jump (22-7.75) with a personal record, jumped 6-9.75 which puts him in the conversation with the top 10 high jumpers in the nation. To cap it off, Wiltz jumps 51-1 in the triple jump. It's No.2 all-time indoors in Louisiana. It's second only to Oklahoma's Brandon Green.

AIDEN MONISTERE (PARKVIEW BAPTIST)-- Monistere broke the Carl Maddox Fieldhouse 1600m with a time of 14:11, breaking Zachary's Rhen Langley's record set last January. It's the fastest time in the nation this year on a flat track. What kind of time can Monistere run on a banked track against quality competition? He hopes to find out this weekend when he travels to Virginia for The VA Showcase. You can watch this meet live on MileSplit.

TREVIN LEBOUEF (CENTRAL LAFOURCHE)-- Lebouef waited patiently in the boys' 800m where less experienced runners went out too fast. The patience paid off for Lebouef at the very end as he was able to close and win with a time of 2:00.04. Lebouef is Louisiana's top returner in the event with a 2024 season best of 1:58.96.

 LUCAS OWENS (ACADIANA RENAISSANCE)-- Louisiana's No. 1 returner in the pole vault had a big opener with a six inch personal record of 14-11. 

JADEN YOUNGBLOOD (MANSFIELD)--The senior hurdler from Mansfield was in mid-season form as he finished as the runner-up in the 60m hurdles with a personal record time of 8.13.

JOSH BROWN (HOLY CROSS)-- "Turbo" was moving fast in the finals of the boys 60m. He won with a time of 6.87. The time is tied at No. 29 for fastest time in the nation. 

DAVID QUINTANA (JESUIT)-- Won the boys 3200m (9:45). His time ranks No. 7 among all-time for Louisiana sophomore boys indoors. 

JACK TORRANCE (CATHOLIC HIGH Baton Rouge)-- Nothing like a six foot personal record to start your season in the shot put! Torrance was the runner-up finish in the boys' shot put competition with a massive toss of 54-7.5.
