A day after hosting the Jeff Davis Bank/McNeese Indoor II at the McNeese recreation complex, the team hosted the high school version on Saturday.
The meet brought over seven hundred high school athletes from six different states. The entries came from Louisiana, Texas, Mississippi, Georgia, Alabama, Florida.
Shawnacy Barbary representing team Flight Control came to the meet as one of the top pole vaulter's in the country and he did not disappoint.
Barbary had a vault of 17-00 feet which was the second best high school vault ever recorded at McNeese.
McNeese head track coach Brendon Gilroy was very pleased with the turnout, “there were a lot of kids with a lot of talent here today.”
He went on to say, “I enjoy this meet because it promotes the sport and McNeese while giving us a chance to look at a lot of talented young athletes.”
