McNeese State's Jarrett LeBlanc will be one of the favorites in the men's mile.  He won the event at the first McNeese indoor meet held this season with a 4:10 clocking and that mark leads the Southland Conference.

In the women's mile, McNeese has two strong contenders in Amy Talbot and Fionnuala Ross.  Talbot won the race in the earlier meet with Nicholls' Ingvild Vedde second.

A couple of other Southland Conference leaders will be participating, these being Southeastern Louisiana sprinter Shannon Grove and shot putter Shalicia Rochon.

Grove is entered in the 55 meters and the 200 meter runs and Rochon in the women's shot put for which she has a 46-6.75 best.

On Saturday high schools will take over with over 800 prep athletes expected to be in attendance. Action that day will begin at 9 a.m.
