POLL: MileSplit LA Boys' Performer Of The Week!

HUNTINGTON'S LANDON GIBBS APPROACHES THE BAR AT THE 2024 LHSAA STATE OUTDOOR MEET

It's time for the MileSplit LA Boys Performer Of The Week poll. Congratulations to all of the finalists. The winner of the poll will move on to the poll for 2025 MileSplit LA Boys' Indoor Athlete Of The Year. The poll will close on Saturday at 9pm.

KALEB BIGWOOD (Hamilton Christian)-- Bigwood won the McNeese Indoor No. 1 400m with a time of 50.77. What made it even more special for Bigwood was the fact that it came on his birthday. The junior also made the finals of the 55m. 

LANDON GIBBS (Huntington)-- Gibbs picked up his first win of the season with a jump of 6-4 at the McNeese Indoor No.1. Gibbs just missed at 6-7. 

KHEL ARVIE (Lake Charles College Prep)-- The senior won the 800m at the McNeese Indoor No. 1 with a time of 2:02. 

FERZELL SHEPARD (Scotlandville)-- The Mississippi State football commit opened up his senior track and field season with a meet record of 48-3.5. Shepard also won the long jump with a jump of 22-5. 

ALEX HUFFINE (Catholic High Baton Rouge)-- Huffine worked his way through the rounds in the 55m to win with a time of 6.66. 

OWEN MELANCON (Westminster Christian)--Was just half of a second off the meet record in the boys' 1600m as he ran a 4:32. It's the No. 3 time in Louisiana this year. Melancon won by ten seconds. 

EMERSON CULLEN (David Thibodaux STEM)-- Cullen won the McNeese Indoor No.1 3200m with a time of 10:03. Cullen's time ranks No. 8 in Louisiana.
