DESTINY HARRISON (MIDDLE) AND AMALIA TERRY-LEE (LEFT) ARE THE No. 1 AND No. 2 RANKED SPRINTERS IN LOUISIANA

Youngsters on the girls side have had a field day during the 2026 Louisiana high school indoor season. There isn't one senior who finds themselves with a No. 1 ranking on the track. In the field events, only Zachary's Kai Richard (shot put) and Alexandria's Noelle Williams (triple jump) find themselves at the top of the ranking as we begin to prepare for the 2026 LHSAA State Indoor Meet which will be held at LSU's Carl Maddox Fieldhouse on Saturday, February 21. 

Notable examples of the Youth Movement on the girls side can be found in the girls 60m where three sophomore sprinters--Liberty Magnet's Destiny Harrison (7.61),  St. Joseph's Amalia Terry-Lee (7.67),  and Walker's Nyla Riggins (7.71)-- who have posted the top three fastest times in the state.
