Scotlandville's Sade Gray Chooses Clemson!

SADE GRAY CROSSES THE LINE OF THE 100m AT THE 2024 LHSAA STATE OUTDOOR MEET!

It was the most anticipated decision of the summer for Louisiana high school track and field fans. Where would Scotlandville's All-American sprinter Sade Gray decide to continue her career? The answer came Sunday evening at Walk-On's in Baton Rouge as Gray announced that she would be taking her talents to South Carolina to join the Clemson University track and field program.

Sunday's announcement party began with words from Gray's mother, Nina Gray.

"This room is a testament to the support that Sade has had throughout her career," Gray's mother said.

Gray began competing in track and field at the age of 11-years old for the South Baton Rouge Jaguars.

When it was her time to speak, Gray thanked all of her coaches for the time they have invested in her--not only as an athlete, but as a person.

At the end, Gray thanked her mother for being there from and day one and "giving me the world."

She then announced her decision to attend Clemson University as she held the school's flag up--along with her mother.
