RUSTON'S AIDAN ANDING JUMPS HIS WAY TO A WIN IN THE LONG JUMP AT THE HOSS GARRETT RELAYS
MileSplit LA photographer Josh McDaniel captured over 1,700 images from Thursday's 31st annual "Hoss" Garrett Relays, like the one you see above of Ruston's Aidan Anding. Anding came from behind to win the boys' long jump with a mark of 22-11.
It's a personal record for Anding, who bettered his mark from last year's District 2-5A Meet where he finished as the runner-up with a jump of 22-2.5. The mark also puts Anding at No. 5 in Louisiana.
It was a good week for Anding, who received his state championship ring for being a part of the Division I Non-Select State Champion Ruston Bearcat football team. Anding, one of the state's top ranked defensive backs in Louisiana's Class of 2025, played an instrumental role in Ruston's historic playoff run.
