BENTON'S ADDYSON HULETT COMPETES AT THE 2023 DISTRICT 1-5A MEET
Here are the finalists for MileSplit LA Girls' Performer of the Week. Congratulations to all of the finalists. The poll will close on Saturday at 9pm. The winner will move on to compete for MileSplit LA Outdoor Athlete of the Year.
St. Frederick's Bradie Eppinette scored 30 points at Rayville Hornet Relays. Her distance triple included the 800m (2:38.82), 1600m (5:28.48), and the 3200m (12:09.85). Eppinette scored 30 of St. Fred's 52 points.
Sterlington's Ana Robinson had a throw of 121-0 in the javelin at North Webster Relays.
Benton's Addyson Hulett jumped 10-2 in pole vault. 59.38 in 400m. 26.56 second place in 200m. Hulett's time in the 400m was a new school record. Hulett led the Lady Tigers to a one-point victory over District 1-5A rival Airline in their home season opener--the Shamocus Patton Memorial Relays.
Lutcher's Cierra Cammon won both the long jump (17-1.5) and triple jump (34-9.5) at the Griffin Relays. Also won the 100m hurdles (16.15).
David Thibodaux's STEM's Grace French. Won both the 1600m (5:26.45) and 3200m (12:05.74) at the Cecilia Bulldog Relays.
University Lab's Annie Garrison had a busy opening weekend. It was capped by two gold medals in the CHS Tip Off Invitational. Garrison won the 300m hurdles (49.38) and triple jump (33-6.5). Two days prior, Garrison competed in the Brusly Invitational. In that meet, Garrison finished third in the long jump with a 15-5.
Scotlandville's Sincere Wilson won both the long jump (18-1.25) and triple jump (34-11.25) at the G.W. Carver Relays. The Carver Relays wasn't the only meet Wilson competed in during Week No.1 of the outdoor season. On Thursday, she ran a personal record of 12.35 in the 100m. The following day she had another personal record. In this meet, it was the triple jump. Wilson jumped a 37-7.5 at the Yellow Jacket Kickoff in Denham Springs. She also finished third in the 200m with a time of 26.55.
