What was your most memorable race/throw/jump/vault/moment?
My most memorable moment was the 2023 state meet where we had a lot of personal records and success, and I became a 2023 Class 5A State champion alongside my team
What was your greatest accomplishment?
My entire 2023 season . I felt like I had finally let go and let God order my steps and it was the most successful season I've had over the entire four years of competition.
What were the most difficult obstacles you had to overcome? How did you overcome them?
My 2022 season was cut short a week prior to the district meet due to an unknown sickness. After sitting out with no activity for a month and a couple of weeks watching from home it was mentally, physically , and emotionally challenging to get myself back to where I was before . By working out and training my mind and body all throughout the fall I was able to regain strength, and came out as an even better athlete than I was before making this past season one of the most successful seasons I've ever had.
What will you miss the most?
The bonds that I've made with my team as we transitioned from teammates to family, as well as the bonds made with my training partners from surrounding schools.
What advice would you give to younger athletes?
Always work hard and bet on yourself. If you don't believe in yourself then who will? Also, never let an outside voice alter your dreams. It doesn't matter if your competition is running faster or jumping and throwing farther because if you want it, it's yours to go get .
What are your post-high school or college plans?
I will be attending the University of Louisiana at Lafayette on a full scholarship majoring in kinesiology and running on the RAGIN Cajuns track team.
Who would you like to say 'thank you' to?
God , my family , my coaches , and everyone that prayed for me and believed in me from the beginning.
