PARKVIEW BAPTIST'S LUCY CRAMER COMPETES IN A MEET IN 2024
Here are this week's finalists for MileSplit LA Girls Performer Of The Week. Congratulations to to the finalists. The winner of this poll will advance to the poll at the end of the year for MileSplit LA Girls Athlete Of The Year. This poll will close on Saturday at 9pm.
GRACE KEENE (Northshore)-- Keene, coming off the announcement that she is Louisiana's Gatorade Player of the Year for cross country, made her debut at the LSU High School Qualifier where she won the 1600m with a state-leading time of 5:05. Only three other sophomores in Louisiana history (Lucy Cramer, Lucy Thomas, and Natalie Venkataraman) have ever run faster. Thomas, now a senior, finished second with a time of 5:07.
LUCY CRAMER (Parkview Baptist)-- Like Keene, Cramer made her debut at the LSU Qualifier winning the 3200m. Cramer won with a time of 11:09. It's the No. 1 time in the state this year.
KAI RICHARD (Zachary)--Won her second straight meet of the season with a personal record 43-6.5. Richard has gone from being the No. 13 ranked shot putter in 2025 to the No. 6 ranked shot putter of all-time.
OLIVIA WOODS (St. Thomas More)--Won the girls' pole vault by over a foot with her jump of 12-6 at the LSU High School Qualifier. The junior, who came into the 2026 season as the highest ranked La. track and field athlete, is currently ranked No. 20 in the nation.
DESTINY HARRISON (Liberty Magnet)-- Harrison, who is only a sophomore, won the LSU High School Qualifier with a time of 7.79. Her time of 7.75 in the prelims is the fastest time run in the state this year.
EMMA SMITH (Delcambre)-- Won the girls high jump with an effort of 5-8. She beat St. Joseph's Kennedy Papillion on fewer misses. Smith's jump is tied for No. 9 in the nation.
