MileSplit (Before Pick)

Here are the finalists for this week's MileSplit LA Boys' Performer of the Week! The poll will close on Saturday at 9pm. The winner will move on to next week's MileSplit LA Boys' Athlete of the Month. Congratulations to all of the athletes who made this week's ballot, and thaks to all those who vote.

JAXSON PARKER (MADE TRACK CLUB) - The Neville Tiger has transitioned to summer track with the Made Track Club. It was a successful transition as Parker won the 200m at the Louisiana State Games with a time of 21.99.

JOSHUA ANDING (UNATTACHED) - The former Ruston Bearcat did not compete during the high school season as he had to sit out after transferring to Scotlandville Magnet High School to continue to train with his coach, Kevin Jackson. Anding wasn't satisfied with his winning 400m time (50.65) on Saturday at the Louisiana State Games. Look for him to continue to improve over the course of the summer.

SEAN LEDESMA (LEESVILLE TRACK CLUB) - What's harder than running long distance? Running long distance and jumping over hurdles and and into a water pit while running long distance. That's exactly what Ledesma did at the Louisiana State Games, on his way to winning the 17-18 2000m Steeplechase. Ledesma had a time of 7:12.

AMARION BRADLEY (UNITED FLYING SWAMP OPOSSUMS) - Vaulted 13-0 to take first place at the Louisiana State Games on Saturday. With the effort, Bradley, who competed for the West Ouachita Chiefs during the high school season, tied his personal best which he last jumped on his way to the District 2-5A championship.

JAHZELL JACKSON (UNITED FLYING SWAMP OPOSSUMS) - Won the high jump iwth a leap of just shy of 6-0 to take the gold medal at the Louisiana State Games.

JUDE LOWE (LEESVILLE TRACK CLUB)- Ran a dominating performance in the 1500m at the Louisiana State Games. Lowe's winning time was 4:21.80.

ANDREW CARLIN (TRACK SENERGY) - Carlin won the 100m in the very first time he has run the event at Saturday's Louisiana State Games. Carlin's time was 11.12. It will be interesting to see how Carlin progresses as he continues to get more experience in the event.

CORBIN GANN (ULTIMATE PERFORMANCE) -Gann won the javelin at the Louisiana State Games with a throw just over 173-0. Gann, who competed for West Monroe during the high school, only threw the javelin farther one time in during the high school season. His 177--11.5 at the District 2-5A Meet was a season best and good enough for a district championship.
