TRINITY SPOONER (SOUTH BEAUREGARD) - Had the all-time No. 1 javelin throw in Louisiana history at the Texas Relays on Friday night. Her throw of 171-11 came on her second, winning the competition and breaking the one-year-old meet record set by Spooner's friend Anadale, Kansas' Mckenzie Fairchild.

MAKERIAH HARRIS (SCOTLANDVILLE) - The best just keeps getting better. Harris moved from being one of the best in Louisiana history to THE BEST this weekend at the Texas Relays by running a 13.18, surpassing the Louisiana's all-time of No. 1 by LSU's Alia Armstrong, who had a best of 13.33 at the USATF NationalJunior Olympics in 2019. 

KENZIE TOUCHET (ST. LOUIS CATHOLIC) - Ran the fastest 100m hurdle time of her life during the prelims of the Texas Relays, running a wind-aided 14.00. She ran a legal 14.25 to finish second in the Division I finals. The time ranks No. 11 all-time in the MileSplit database for wind-legal performances.

DEMETRIA HARRIS (HUNTINGTON) - Harris finished third in the Texas Relays Division I finals. She was given the same time as Touchet, which ties her at No. 11 all-time in Louisian with wind-legal performances. Harris alos kicked off Huntington's 4x200 relay, which won with a 1:39.22, breaking both the school and meet record. 

ANIYA HILL (HAUGHTON)- Won the Bossier Parish Parish Championships with a discus throw of 147-0 wich moves her to No. 1 in Louisiana and No. 2 on Louisiana's all-time list, trailing only Janet Hill, who had a best of 169-4 in 1988. 

ARIEL WILLIAMS (BARBE) - Among a handful of Louisiana's all-time best high jumpers after her 5-10 last year at the LHSAA Class 5A Region I Meet in Natchitoches. This year, Williams leads the state with a jump of 5-8. She has cleared that twice. It's a crowded leader board with 11 girls in Louisiana history who have cleared 5-10. Will Williams be abe to seperate herself as she closes out the last month of her high school career? Only time will tell. 

EMMA BOURG (HOUMA CHRISTIAN) - Broke 5:00 minutes at the Pete Boudreaux Invitational last month with a state-leading time of 4:59.41. The time is also No. 4 all-time in Louisiana. Only one runner in Louisiana history has run faster at this time in the season than Bourg. The No.1 and No.2 runners--Benton's Kaitlin Flatman and St. Thomas Aquinas Malia Cali did not break 5:00 until the championship season. That wasn'st the only thing she did during the month of March. She turned in the most impressive 1600-3200 doubles in Louisiana history in cold and windy conditions at the Cardinal Relays. She won the 1600m (5:03.88) and came back to win the 3200m (11:01.02).

JAYLA MASON (LAKE CHARLES COLLEGE PREP)- Mason ran the state's leading time in the 400m (56.10) at the Mobile Meet of Champions. She finished second to Madison Whyte of Heritage, Virginia, who ran a 53.51. Mason's time is No. 14 all-time in Louisiana for juniors.
