BOYS' WEEKLY TEAM RANKINGS 10/18
Rank | Team | Last Meet | Previous Ranking | Details |
| Randy Zell Classic | 1 | We saw yet another junior varsity performance by the Blue Jays. The team finished 6th overall.
| Randy Zell Classic | 2 | The Crusaders continue to dominate. This was yet another incredibly impressive run by this team, with some runners one-upping their performance from their last meet. It's safe to say that Brother Martin has a firm grip on #2 right now. The team recorded a perfect score.
| NSU Pre-State Meet | 3 | A flood of orange took over the NSU Pre-State Meet. The team had 14 runners within the top 19 and won the meet with ease. The team ran the majority of its top runners, but we did not see as many blazing times as we are accustomed to seeing from this team. Either way, this was more of a low-key meet for this team, with very little challenge to it.
| Benton High Tiger Tracks | 4
| Airline Viking XC Invitational | 5 | We saw the Panthers show off its squad of freshmen at this meet. This was an overall win for these young runners, as they secured the win with 38 points.
| Randy Zell Classic | 6 | We only saw four runners from Holy Cross complete the course, and on top of that, this was not the team's full strength.
| SNL XC Invitational | 10 | Teurlings took a close win over St. Michael, scoring just 21 fewer points. In addition to winning the team title, the team also nabbed the individual title as well. This was not the fastest display of times from this team, but it did include a shocking 1-5 split of just 26 seconds!
| SNL XC Invitational | 8 | St. Michael did well to place three runners within the top ten and secured a safe second place as a team.
| Bronco XC Stampede | 7 | Zachary narrowly won its home meet over Dutchtown with an eight-point difference. The team managed to place three runners within the top ten and also saw a change-up in its top five runners. This was also a more concerning performance from Dillon Moree who ran a bit off from what is usually seen.
| Catholic High Invitational | 9
| Watson High School Cross Country Classic | 11 | The Knights won the Blue Division, placing six within the top ten. The difference between Episcopal and other schools in this race was drastic. Episcopal ended up winning the division by 93 points!
| Watson High School Cross Country Classic | 12 | Parkview Baptist ran its varsity in the Gold Division and part of its junior varsity in the Silver Division. The varsity squad ran well, placing 9th out of respected programs from both Louisiana and Mississippi. In addition to that, the team concluded the race with a solid 55-second 1-5 split.
| Watson High School Cross Country Classic | 13 | Walker placed 10th in the Gold Division, just behind Parkview Baptist. This was not necessarily the team's best performance, however, the team was accommodating for transitioning to 5k and the absence of Carson Boyer.
| Randy Zell Classic | 15 | E.D. White was the second-best Louisiana program at this meet, narrowly beating out Newman for third place. The team had two runners within the top ten, but outside of them they had a very close squad of three runners to close out the top five.
| Catholic High Invitational | 16
| Watson High School Cross Country Classic | 18 | Vandebilt climbs the ranks after beating both Walker and Parkview Baptist this past weekend, but we are still on the lookout to see if this will be commonplace in the future. The team took a minuscule victory over Parkview Baptist by just one point and placed 8th overall!
| SNL XC Invitational | 14 | This was a slower meet when compared to others, so it's not out of the ordinary to see ESA run slower times than usual. However, the team did take a hit from the absence of Greer Hernandez, which led the team to concede to Erath. ESA finished fourth overall.
| Bronco XC Stampede | 19 | Dutchtown barely lost to Zachary and secured a second-place finish. In addition to this, the team had three runners within the top eleven, as well as a 1-5 split of just 37 seconds.
| Bronco XC Stampede | 17 | Central Lafourche claimed a safe third place on this slower-than-usual course. There was a larger gap than usual between its top three runners, but this was still a strong showing for this team.
| Watson High School Cross Country Classic | 20 | D'arbonne Woods placed 3rd in the Silver Division, claiming three of the top ten positions. This was not the ordinary squad that we see from this team, so it is impossible to make any true judgments based on this week's performance.
| SNL XC Invitational | 28 | Erath took third after a strong display from its top four runners. This was a more challenging course than what we see normally, so there can be no judgment based on times this week.
| Randy Zell Classic | 21 | We did not see Mandeville's full squad this week, but the team still managed to take a fourth-place finish.
| SNL XC Invitational | 22 | STEM Academy was missing some of its top runners at this meet, however, the team secured fifth overall, just four points shy of Episcopal of Acadiana.
| SJA XC Invitational | 23
| Catholic High Invitational | 24
| Watson High School Cross Country Classic | 25 | Benton traveled out of state to this meet, but it was not its A squad. The team competed in the Gold Division and placed 16th overall.
| Catholic High Invitational | 26
| Catholic High Invitational | 27
| Randy Zell Classic | 29 | St. Martin's held on to a fifth-place finish as a team, but impressively boasted a 1-5 split of 51 seconds.
| Bronco XC Stampede | NR | Baton Rouge surprised most by placing two of its runners in the top ten and one just outside of it. The team did exceptionally well, placing fourth overall. |
Just missed: Hahnville, Barbe, Lafayette High
