If the chalk holds, other field events in Division I girls field events will not be as tightly contested as the pole vault.

There shouldn't be any drama in the girls' high jump where Ruston's Bryanna Craig put on an amazing show at the LSU Last Chance Qualifier. Craig went 5-9.75, and did it after a 400m race which featured three of the Top 25 runners in the nation.
Lakeshore's Miranda Tillery, Ouachita's Danielle Lee, and John Ehret's Tenosh Landry will battle it out for the second place. All three come into the state meet with a best of 5-0.75.
Craig (18-5.25) is also ranked No. 1 in the girls Division I long jump, although she may have a more difficult time coming out on top as Prentice (18-1.75) is not far behind at No. 2.
