WATCH Devyn Keith Close In 60 Second Last Lap To Win Mile At Mobile Challenge Of Champs!

It turned out be a slow strategic race in the boys mile at the Mobile Challenge of Champions and John Curtis senior Devyn Keith did much of the pace work duties out front for the first 3 laps. Keith took the field thru the quarter mile in 65 seconds, 2:14 at a half mile, and 3:20 at the bell. Despite being sit on by the field that did not stop Keith from closing with a 60 second last lap to hold off a field of runners in a 4:21.36 win.

After finishing a runner-up in the mile last year at the Mobile Challenge of Champions and runner-up as well in the two mile two years ago, a win as a senior in one of the top tier meets in the Southeast region was certainly a gratifying win for the Tulane University recruit Keith.
