Class AA
In arguably the toughest non-5A class year in/out, 2A brings out some great competition in the small schools. Alissa Landers of Lakeside continues their line of succession of top individuals in 2A, taking down pre meet favorite Alicia Stamey of Episcopal 18:38-18:55. STA surprised the field and took the 2A title from favorite Menard 52-69 with Episcopal rounding out third with 80 points
Did I mention Lakeside earlier? Eric Greene won the boys race in 16:13 while the entire EHS team went out for a Monday stroll behind him. EHS scored 22 points to win their 20th in a row. I think the mathematically odds of something like that happening are literally over one in a million. And guess what? With 6 of 7 returning for next year, they probably will make it 21. Newman was second with 107.
