SOUTH BATON ROUGE JAGUARS NATARI MCGEE CROSSES THE LINE OF THE 200m AT THE '23 AAU QUALIFIER!
It was a big weekend for age-group track and field in Louisiana as many of the state's best made their way to Hammond, LA for the AAU Region 11 National Qualifier. We have gone through the results and have some finalists for Week No.3 MileSplit LA Performer Of The Week.

JAMES HILLS JR. (SACs) - Won the 9-year-old boy's 100m with a time of 12.97. Hills Jr. shattered the old record of 13.55 set by Malik Kelly in 2010.
AUBREY SKIPPER (ALL CENLA ELITE)- Skipper stayed busy during her time in Hammond. She won the 8 and under 100m (15.14), 200m (31.24), and 400m (1:11.92).
TY WALKER (SOUTH BATON ROUGE JAGS)- Won the 10-year-old boys 400m (1:02.43). He was less than a second away from the meet record of 1:01.66 set by Michael Mckenzie in 2021.
BRAYLEIGH BAGOT (SELA ROADRUNNERS)- Bagot won the high jump (3-6), 1500m (6:19.87), Triathlon, and finished third in the 800m (3:06.04) in the 9-year-old girls division.
SAJAN DELONG (NO METRO STARS) - Delong won the 11-year-old boys 1500m (5:13.77) by over a minute. He also won the 3000m (11:14).
NATARI MCGEE (SOUTH BATON ROUGE JAGUARS)- Mcgee pulled off the sprint triple by winning the 100m (14.40), 200m(28.98), and 400m (1:09.27) in the 10-year-old girls division.
TAIRON PONDS (TROJAN ELITE)- Ponds won the 13-year-old boys 100m (11.30) breaking the 11.38 mneet record set by Navarsea Conner (2021).
KAYLIE TROTTER (ZACHARY WINGS)- Trotter won the 10-year-old girls shot put with a throw of 6.41 meters. She also won the turbo javelin with a throw of 14.16 meters.
LANDEN LOUPE ( SELA ROADRUNNERS)-Loupe won the 13-year-old boys high jump with a 5-0. It was only two inches off the meet record.
HEAVEN JOHNSON (LEESVILLE TRACK CLUB)-Johnson won the 1500m (5:46) and 3000m (13:00) in the 11-year-old girls' division. Johnson also finished second in the 800m (2:44.76).
RAHNEISHA DAVIS (K-Y TRACK CLUB)- Won the 100m (13.44) and the 200m (27.40) in the 12-year-old girls division.
ZOE THREAT (LA ELITE TRACK CLUB)- Threat won the 14-year old girls 800m with a time of 2:25.03. She broke the meet record of 2:27.60 set by Breanna Becerra in 2017.
