Senior Amanda Bartlett claimed the top spot in the ULM Warhawks Invitational on Saturday morning.
MONROE, La. – The ULM women’s cross country dominated the field on their way to a 4-0 dual meet victory against the field in the 2007 ULM Warhawks Invitational at Chenault Park and Golf Club on Saturday morning. ULM senior Amanda Bartlett continued her strong fall, posting a 20:07 5K time for the top spot in the race. The Warhawks also picked up top-5 finishes from freshmen Claire Clark (20:10), Brittany Blackmon (20:15), and Janie Blackmon (20:17) and senior Jessica Baldino (20:32) to register the sweep.  After claiming the top five spots, the Warhawks picked up matching 15-40 victories against in-state rivals Louisiana Tech, Northwestern State, Grambling State and Centenary College for the meet victory. The ULM men were also in action in the meet, dropping all four dual matches. Junior Andrew Opata provided the bright spot for the Warhawk men, posting a 27:15 8K time to claim the second best meet time. Sophomore Seth Hall also finished in the top-15, posting a time of 28:21 for 13th place overall. Freshman Richard Sanders finished the meet in 18th place, posting a time of 30:11. The Warhawks return to action next weekend on Saturday, Sept. 29 when they travel to Auburn, Ala. to take on the field in the Auburn Invitational at 9:30 a.m.
